  • Streamable HTTP MCP
  • publish_file tool
  • Same plan limits as dashboard

How to do it

  1. 1. Create an API key

Open Settings, create a key, and copy it once.

  2. 2. Add drophost MCP in Cursor

Use /api/mcp with Authorization: Bearer and Streamable HTTP.

  3. 3. Ask Cursor to publish

Call publish_file with the filename and bytes. Copy the returned URL.

Connect once

Paste the MCP URL and Bearer header into Cursor. The key is shown once when you create it.

Publish from chat

Ask the agent to publish a local file. You get the same kind of live URL as a browser upload. Plan limits still apply.

Publish from Cursor without leaving the editor

Point Cursor at drophost MCP on /api/mcp with a hashed API key, then call publish_file. Free supports Word, text, Markdown, CSV, images, and HTML within 2 MB on one project. Recipients open the link with no account, and replacing the file keeps the Cursor-shared URL unchanged.
