How to do it

  1. 1. Create an API key

    Sign in, open Settings → Agent publish, and copy the key once.

  2. 2. Connect Claude or ChatGPT

    Paste the MCP config snippet. One connection is enough.

  3. 3. Ask the agent to publish

    Say “publish this PDF” or “host this folder as a site.” Paste the returned URL wherever you work.

Connect once

Create an API key in Settings → Agent publish, paste the config into Claude or ChatGPT, and you are done. After that, “publish this” is enough.

Same URL as a drop

The agent uploads through MCP and returns the public link. Recipients open a normal webpage. They never see that an agent published it.

Replace without breaking bookmarks

Publish again to the same project. The URL stays put through revisions, client threads, and Slack pins.

Common questions

Do recipients need Claude or ChatGPT?

No. The drophost link is a normal webpage. Recipients just open it.

Do I need MCP to use drophost?

No. MCP is optional. Drag-and-drop in the browser still works.

Can the agent update the same link?

Yes. Publish again to the same project. The URL does not change.
