Endpoint and auth

MCP URL: https://drophost.space/api/mcp. OAuth (recommended for humans): URL-only config; client discovers /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/mcp and completes Clerk login (PKCE; enable CIMD and DCR in the Clerk Dashboard for Claude/ChatGPT). API keys: Authorization: Bearer dh_… from Settings → Agent publish. Invalid tokens return 401 with WWW-Authenticate resource_metadata for discovery. HTTP /api/v1 remains API-key only.

Tools

publish_file uploads one document or image (filename + content_base64) and returns its public URL. publish_site hosts HTML or a zip with index.html. list_projects returns id, name, slug, and url. Pass project_id to publish into an existing project so the URL stays the same. delete_file removes one file. delete_project removes the project and its live URL. MCP oneshot uploads max out at 4 MB; larger files should use the dashboard or POST /api/v1/publish.

What the agent should reply

After a successful publish, the agent should lead with the live URL and project name. Do not paste file contents into chat. Recipients do not need Claude, ChatGPT, or a drophost account — they just open the link.

On drophost, Free allows one project and 2 MB. Starter at €5/mo or €50/yr raises limits to 8 projects and 100 MB with passwords and custom domains. Pro at €12/mo reaches 30 projects and 500 MB. Use the HTTP API when payloads exceed the 4 MB oneshot cap.
