Free file sharing on drophost
- No credit card
- Word, images, text, Markdown, CSV, small PDFs
- Links stay until you delete
How to do it
1. Create a free account
No credit card required for the free plan.
2. Upload within 2 MB
Share Word, images, text, Markdown, CSV, or an HTML site.
3. Send the URL
Recipients open it in a browser. Upgrade when you need PDFs or passwords.
What free includes
Free includes one project, 2 MB storage, drophost branding, a named drophost.space subdomain, and PDFs up to 0.5 MB. Supported types include Word, images, text, Markdown, RTF, CSV, HTML pages, and site zips with index.html. There is no Node or PHP runtime—static browser files only. Larger PDFs, passwords, and custom domains start on Starter.
When to upgrade
Move to Starter (€5/mo or €50/yr) for larger PDF decks, password gates, 8 projects, 100 MB, analytics, and branding removal. Pro at €12/mo or €120/yr reaches 30 projects and 500 MB when you juggle many client links. Replace files on either plan and keep the same URL stakeholders already bookmarked.
How free sharing works
Sign in, drop a supported file or paste HTML, then copy the live URL into Slack, email, or an LMS. When the document changes, re-upload to the same project so the path never changes. Viewers never create a drophost account—optional passwords appear only after you upgrade.
